It begins with a line.
Selected work
Three estates, each drawn from its site. Every project is designed and built by the same studio.

Cedar Bluff Residence
Westlake
A long cantilever reaches past a limestone shelf toward the western light.
8,900 sq ft

Hollow Creek House
Preston Hollow, Dallas
A courtyard plan arranged around one old live oak.
7,600 sq ft

Pond Edge Pavilions
Southlake
Three linked pavilions step down to a pond, glazed on every side that faces the water.
10,200 sq ft
Process
Four stages, one team, from the first site visit to the day you move in.
Design
We start on the site: its slope, its light, the trees worth keeping. Plans and models grow out of what the land already offers.
Engineer
Structure, systems and envelope are resolved on paper before ground is broken, so the build follows the drawing and not the other way round.
Build
One team carries the house from foundation to finish, with the people who drew it on site at every stage.
Deliver
You receive a finished home, a complete record of how it was made, and a team that knows every wall in it.
Studio
A house should look as if it was always meant to be on its land.
We design and build in one practice because the best decisions happen where drawing and building meet. A wall gets thinner because the engineer was in the room. A window moves a foot because the builder stood on the slab at sunset.
We use few materials and let each one do its job in plain view: concrete that shows how it was cast, timber that weathers, glass placed for a particular view. Nothing is applied to look expensive.
Most of all we design for light. North Texas sun is generous and hard, so overhangs, shade and orientation are the first lines on every plan, not the last.
Begin a project
Tell us about the site and how you live. If you don't have land yet, tell us where you're looking; site selection is often where the design starts.
After you send this, the first step is a conversation about the brief, then a visit to the site together.
